Taylor NOS 814ce Builder's EditionHonduran Rosewood / Adirondack Spruce Acoustic Electric

Flagship Taylor refinement with rare tonewoods, premium comfort, and exceptional NOS value

The Taylor NOS 814ce Builder's Edition brings together rare tonewoods, master-level craftsmanship, and Taylor's most refined Grand Auditorium playing experience in one inspiring Acoustic Electric. With Honduran rosewood back and sides paired to an Adirondack spruce top, this model delivers remarkable depth, warmth, projection, and harmonic complexity while maintaining the balance and versatility that have made the 814ce one of Taylor's most celebrated designs. As a Taylor NOS model, it offers an excellent opportunity to own a top-tier Taylor at a lower price while still enjoying premium performance and long-term value.

Adirondack spruce adds headroom, power, and articulate response even under a stronger attack, while Honduran rosewood contributes piano-like clarity, blooming sustain, and richly layered overtones. Taylor's V-Class Bracing enhances volume, sustain, and intonation, and Builder's Edition comfort features help make the guitar feel as refined under the hands as it sounds to the ear.

Rare tonewood pairing with remarkable depth and clarity
Honduran rosewood gives this model a lush, harmonically rich voice with warmth, complexity, and impressive note separation, while the Adirondack spruce top adds projection, dynamic range, and crisp articulation. Together, they create an expansive, expressive sound that works beautifully for fingerstyle, strumming, accompaniment, and recording applications.

Builder's Edition comfort for a refined playing experience
Comfort-focused Builder's Edition details such as chamfered body edges, a beveled armrest, a beveled cutaway, and the smooth Curve Wing bridge help make long playing sessions feel relaxed and natural. The Grand Auditorium body shape keeps the response balanced and versatile, while the Neo-Tropical mahogany neck and West African Crelicam ebony fretboard provide the smooth, familiar feel Taylor players expect.

Premium appointments with stage-ready performance
Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics help preserve the guitar's natural acoustic character when amplified, making this an excellent option for stage and studio work. Premium visual details such as Element shell and mother-of-pearl inlays, a rosewood pickguard, Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners, and the gloss body with Kona Edgeburst back and sides plus Shaded Edge Burst top complete a package built for serious players who want both performance and presentation.

Why choose the Taylor NOS 814ce Builder's Edition
This model is an outstanding choice for players who want flagship Taylor tone, rare tonewood character, and premium comfort in a highly versatile Acoustic Electric. Its lush sustain, refined Builder's Edition feel, and NOS pricing make it a compelling way to own one of Taylor's most sophisticated Grand Auditorium instruments for less.
