Lil Peep, who's been described as being "at the forefront of bridging hip-hop, emo-pop-punk, and one of the most promising musicians in any genre," passed away two weeks after his 21st birthday. He had gained a significant following online, and his first studio album, Come Over When You're Sober, PT.1, just like a slew of mixtapes and projects he dropped, is a haunting look at the battles the artist was fighting—depression, suicidal thoughts, drug use, relationship issues. His raw, intimate approach struck a chord with his fanbase, and even after his passing, his legacy commands a cult-like following, with many lamenting Peep's curtailed potential.
