Matsui Mizunara Cask Single Malt Japanese Whisky｜ Other Products

Matsui Mizunara Cask Single Malt Japanese Whisky comes from the Kurayoshi Distillery of Matsui Shuzo in Tottori Prefecture. Matsui's single malt is matured in casks of mizunara, the rare Japanese oak famous for its sandalwood and incense character and notoriously difficult to cooper, and bottled at 48% ABV.The mizunara shows clearly: sandalwood, temple incense and coconut on the nose over honeyed malt, a smooth, gently spiced palate with vanilla, orchard fruit and a hint of oriental spice, and a long, aromatic finish. The 48% bottling gives it presence without heat. It is superb neat and makes a highly fragrant highball. This 750ml bottle is one of the more affordable ways to taste single malt matured in genuine mizunara oak.
